I have strived for years to come up with my own style and unique approach to making art and that is how my painted collage technique was born. I like to amuse and make my audience wonder how and why I made a piece. I create art that I want to look at for a long time and that makes me smile.

I am a painter and mixed media artist who creates images using several different techniques. One is what I call ‘painted collage’ where I draw, paint, cut apart, reassemble, and glue all of the random parts that I created onto a painted canvas. Another is mixed media jewelry and assemblage, where I combine found objects with my own parts I make from clay. I work in other art forms, but what I love about mixed media is the freedom to combine images in unexpected ways and how these images evolve as the pieces are moved around. With this process, each layered addition can dramatically change the expression of the piece from one minute to the next. When I paint in oils, I strive for the light to be the center of attention so that anyone that sees the piece will feel like they are right there interacting with my art.

I live in Cajun country in the heart of Louisiana and am a transplanted military brat. I live on 7 beautiful acres with my chickens, my dog and cat. I get the occasional visitors – deer, coyote and other woodland creatures. Life is good!

With love,
